Vicki and Rob are getting married in June and I will head down to LA as their photographer. This weekend, they drove up to the Bay Area and have their engagement session done and also met with me for the wedding consultation. They dropped by at my house in San Ramon, we went over their wedding day schedule and also picked all the album options. We had a very good time and didn't make to the city until 5 o'clock. Althought it was chilly in San Francisco, Vicki and Rob showed their love in front of camera very well. Good luck on wedding planning and see you guys again in couple months in LA!

Liz & Eric Engagement - Mountain House
Mountain House, a small town near Tracy, Liz and Eric live there for about two year. They would like to have their engagement pictures taken in some unique locations, and they found some nice spots near their home. Old trains, windmill, and golf course during sunset in Mountain House, what a perfect combination.
Liz loves those windmills

Mary & Aaron Engagement - Baker Beach
OMG, it was 90 degree in San Francisco, what the beautiful day to go to beach! Mary and Aaron picked a beautiful day to have their engagement session on Baker beach. Traffic and parking was very bad and the beach was crowded. We prepared extra clothes and sandals and ready to jump into the water. Althought it was 90 degree, the water was freezing cold and our feet were lump. It was fun to shoot in the water and we all got wet during the sunset of San Francisco beach.

Lea & Randy, maternity studio session
Two years ago, I was the wedding photographer for them. Two years later, they're expecting the new family member, congratulations! Lea and Randy came to my studio for maternity pictures in the evening. During the session, they couldn't hide their happy faces whenever I told them to look at the baby. The session last about an hour and pictures turned out great. Samantha and I also gave them a tour of all the baby gadgets for Nicholas and shared our newborn stories, I hope we didn't scare them too much.

My new 50mm 1.2L USM Lens is here!
In WPPI this year, I didn't spend too money on camera gadgets because I found out many camera gears are useless and wast money. But I spent $1300 on this 50mm 1.2L USM lens and it finally arrived at my door yesterday. This lens was introduced by my buddy Augie, he lent it to me to try out in a wedding that we shot together. Oh man! The pictures turned out awesome even I shot them in a very dark atmosphere. I can't wait to use this new lens in the coming weddings and engagement sessions!
Couple shots by using the same lens, no Photoshop touchup

Tracie & Andy Engagement, Stanford University
I rarely shoot engagement session in Stanford because many of my customers would save this location for their wedding day. Tracie & Andy chose this location because they like the classic buildings. To me, that was a good opportunity to explore the campus and find more spots for the wedding day pictures (don't you get bored of the church and columns?) Here are some nice locations I discovered in the campus and the pictures turned out pretty amazing. Tracie & Andy, good choice!
