Where was Ricky?

As some of you may concern, how come the blog hasn't been updated in the past few weeks? It is because I was in Hong Kong in the last couple weeks for my best friend's wedding. It was a fun trip, I tried many different kind of food there and the most important, my friend's wedding was so fun. I also took some engagement pictures for them in Central, pictures will be posted later on the blog. Happy New Year to you all!

Tisza & Brian Wedding | Trinity Episcopal Church San Francisco

Tisza and Brian decided to tie the knot at Trinity Episcopal Church in San Francisco, this is one of the Churches I want to shoot because I used to live couple blocks away from there. Parking was really tough over there, luckily we didn't get any tickets althought we forgot to feed the meter. After the ceremony, we went to Lucas film art center for picture session. We only spent about 30 minutes to get all the pictures done because it was getting dark very early, but we all had fun. The banquet was held in New Asia Resturant which can hold 550 guests for Tisza and Brian, yes, it wasn't a typo, 550 guests! I believe this is the record in my wedding photography history.

Thanks to Andrew (Studio MSV) letting me borrow his video light to lit up the gown-

Besides the regular wedding cake, Gabrielle from Cake Coquette also made this A's/Giant for Tisza and Brian!

Lauren Baby Portrait

16 months old Lauren is adorable and also a very smart cute little girl. She knows many alphabets, animals, and understands what we tell her to do in front of my camera. Surprisingly, She even knows how to insert a car key into the keyhole of the trunk, I hope Nicholas will be smart as Lauren when he turns 16 months.

Nathan Baby Portrait

Christmas is coming soon and baby studio session is very popular. 1 year old Nathan had his session held yesterday, this little guy is a my ideal baby client - he didn't move around at all! His little butt was bolted with my backdrop and that was it! So nice! Because I want to capture the active side of Nathan, we walked to the park near by my house and spent little time there, pictures turned out so color and I hope the parents will enjoy the pictures.

Nicholas Studio Shoot

Due to my busy schedule, I haven't taken any studio pictures for Nicholas for a long time. Yesterday, I setup my studio lights and reflectors because I had a studio family portrait session in the afternoon. Once I was done with my clients, Sam and I immediately dressed up little Nicholas and put him in front of the backdrop. Ten months old Nicholas is very sensitive to camera, he knows where the camera and doing his own funny poses. He wasn't in the good mood during the shooting because he was supposed to go to nap. But check them out, pictures turned out fastastic! I really like the sepia head shot, it becomes my Avatar picture now!

Rachel & Roland Wedding | Old First Presbyterian Church

Rachel and Roland tied the knot at Old First Presbyterian Church in San Francisco. I was so excited to be shooting a wedding there because I grew up in this area. I am very familiar with this neighborhood as the church is located across from the apartment where I spent every minute playing Nintendo when I was little. The church had very flexible rules for photographers and we were able to capture their beautiful ceremony in different angles. After the classy wedding ceremony, we hit right off to City Hall for some fun group pictures with the wedding party! The structural buildings and the serene hues provided classic and elegant backdrop contrasted by the fun that the group were having. Reception was held at Grand Palace Restarant in South San Francisco, which means a night of good food! But my favorite part of the night was the first dance. Rachel is a ballet dancer and the couple's first dance performance was breathtaking... the dips and turns made all the guests went ooh and aahh. Thank you Rachel and Roland for for the beautiful day! Congrats!
