KMTP - Wedding Television Filming

I was invited by Beverly Yip, the owner of Especially Your Chair Covers, to attend a KMTP Wedding Television filming. The program is about interviewing wedding vendors in the Bay Area, talk about their products and services, styles, and pricing. Beverly was the organizer and she invited several celebrity level vendors for this program, and they are:

Jesus Diaz - The Westin St. Francis Hotel San Francisco
Beverly Yip - Especially Your Chair Covers
Maria Chang - Professional Makeup Artistry (PMA)
Nancy Liu Chin - Nancy Liu Chin Designs
Tristan Flores - Elle Music
Sonya Hong - Butterfly Cakes

The filming was held at Westin St. Francis Hotel Victor's Palace at 32 floor, beautiful grand ball room with all the nice decorations from our vendors. Chair covers, center pieces, cake, lightling, and floral decor, all decorations matched the color and the theme of the venue and they brought the classic and elegant style to the room. Of course, the highlight of the day was the interviewing. Maria Chang from PMA provided makeup to the vendors and they all looked like superstars in front of the cameras. The preparation and filming took about 5 hours, it wents smootly and we all had fun. I forgot to mention, I originally was invited as a photographer of the event, but I was invited to be a part of the interview as well. I was so nervious during the interview, so please don't laugh if you see my face on the TV program later.

Margaret & Schulmynn Engagement | North Beach San Francisco

Margaret and Schulmynn are getting married in March and it's time for the engagement session. We decided to have the session this week because weather turned warmer lately. The day was beautiful and we started our session from espresso shop in North Beach. I like to shoot at North Beach - the street was quiet, nice colorful Italian storefront makes the color of the pictures high contrast and vivid. I think Margaret and Schulmynn have been warmed up by the session and ready show the kisses in front of the guests on the wedding day!

We started the engagement session from a cup of espresso -

Irene & Bill Wedding | Round Hill Country Club

To me, Christmas was the most lovely season of year. Friends will send you gifts and blessings, family will get together and share the stories in the past year. I feel LOVE in Christmas and I think Irene and Bill feel the same . Irene and Bill selected Christmas weekend to tie the knot in Round Hill Country Club in Alamo, because they like Christmas as I do, plus there were many guests came from other countries. Irene loves Chinese wedding celecbration, so the first half the wedding day was in traditional Chinese style - door game, pickup bride, tea ceremony, Chinese wedding gown...etc. We all had fun and of course delicious Chinese food was served for lunch. Afterward, we headed to Round Hill Country Club for the wedding ceremony and reception. My favorite part of the night was toasting from their friends and family, they shared many funny stories about the newly wed and also vey touch blessings. Congratulations to Irene and Bill again!

My brand new camera - Canon 5d Mark II

After months of waiting, my brand new camera - Canon 5d Mark II has finally arrived at my doorway today. I wanted to upgrade my camera for long time, however I decided spent money on lenses instead in the past several years. Until 5d Mark II was announced, I decided to that's the camera I've been waiting for. 21.1 Megapixel Full-frame CMOS and ISO 25600 are the most important features to me, plus Full HD video capture 1080p, DIGIC 4 image processor, 3-inch clear view LCD... and more. I'm still charging the battery for the first time, testing shots will come very soon, I can't wait!!!

Amy & Kenneth Engagement | Central, Hong Kong

Kenneth and I met when we were 4th grade in Hong Kong, and it has been almost 24 years (I'm getting old.) I'm so glad see him getting married with another good friend of mine, Amy. Kenneth and Amy decided to tie the knot in Hong Kong instead because both of them will stay in Hong Kong to start their new marriage lives. Many of their friends and relatives flew back to attend their wedding, and i'm one of them because I was the bestman of the day. Kenneth and Amy love my pictures. However, I couldn't be their wedding day photographer. So I suggested to take engagement pictures for them as a little wedding gift. They loved the idea and we spent a morning in Central (Downtown area with some historic buildings) to capture their love moments. Congratulations to my best friends Kenneth and Amy!
